Naruto is one cool story about ninja, which I like very much. It is very good in the earlier chapter, though I dont like it too much with how the story progress after Naruto grows up. The stories still goes on till now (hasn't ended yet), and like other mangas, the scanlation still goes on about 1 chapter (for u that don't know about chapter, 1 chapter is about 10 pages) every 2 weeks.

The earlier story talks about how Naruto, a young ninja who had a sad childhood background (because he is born from a sealed demon that had killed lots of his villagers fellow). He was abandoned and left alone by another villagers, and then he grows up to be a trouble maker to attract other people attention. In his ninja's village, there would be a test for all teenagers to become like a graduated (increase their ranks) ninja. From here then he progressed fast, become more skilled, meet lots of new friends, get people's trust and attention, and so on. The stories gets very interesting as it progressed here.

And then there is another young ninja, Sasuke, who then becomes Naruto's rival. Sasuke has a dark past (where his own brother, Itachi, that he likes, killed all of his family and clans, then he promised to get his revenge to his own brother) and has similar background like Naruto, as he grows up with no friends, though Sasuke had no friends because he cannot trust anyone, while Naruto had no friends because no one trusted him. The childhood stories ends as Sasuke, following his burning desire for revenge, decided to follow Orochimaru (an evil person from the same village as them) to become more skilled and cut all ties with Naruto and all other friends from their village. Because of the bonds that has created between them, Naruto promised to get Sasuke back as their friends. After the journey to train himself, Naruto gets back more matured and skillfull from before, and the stories gets pretty complicated from here till now as lots of new guys introduced and pops up from nowhere and the skill becomes too much (like dragonball - though I like dragonball too :p ).
